THE ANNUNCIATION
Our Father
The angel Gabriel was sent from God to a virgin,/
and the virgin’s name was Mary. (Luke 1:26, 27)

When she had heard him she was troubled at his word,/

THE VISITATION
Our Father
Now Mary went into the hill country./
And she entered the house of Zachary and saluted Elizabeth. (Luke 1:39, 40)

When Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, the babe in her womb leapt./
And she was filled with the Holy Spirit. (Luke 1:41)

And she cried out, ‘Blessed are thou among women/

‘And blessed is she who has believed,/
because the things promised her by the Lord shall be accomplished.’ (Luke 1:45)

THE NATIVITY
Our Father
It came to pass while they were in Bethlehem,/
that the days for her to be delivered were fulfilled. (Luke 2:6)

And she laid him in a manger,/

THE PRESENTATION
Our Father
According to the Law of Moses, they took Jesus up to Jerusalem/
to present him to the Lord. (Luke 2:32)

Now there was in Jerusalem a man named Simeon,/
and this man was just and devout, looking for the consolation of Israel. (Luke 2:25)

And it had been revealed to him that he should not see death/
before he had seen the Christ of the Lord. (Luke 2:26)

And when they brought in the child Jesus, he received him into his arms/
and blessed God. (Luke 2:27, 28)

‘Now thou dost dismiss thy servant, O Lord,/
according to thy word, in peace.’ (Luke 2:29)

which thou hast prepared before the face of all peoples.’ (Luke 2;30, 31)

THE FINDING OF JESUS IN THE TEMPLE
Our Father
When Jesus was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem/
according to the custom of the feast. (Luke 2:42)

And when they were returning, the boy Jesus remained in Jerusalem,/
and his parents did not know it. (Luke 2:43)

They returned to Jerusalem in search of him./
And after three days, they found him in the temple. (Luke 2:45, 46)

He was sitting in the midst of the teachers,/
listening to them and asking them questions. (Luke 2:46)

And all who were listening to him were amazed/

Behold, in sorrow thy father and I have been seeking thee.’ (Luke 2:48)

THE AGONY IN THE GARDEN
Our Father
Jesus came with them to Gethsemani,/
and he began to be saddened and exceedingly troubled. (Matt. 26:36, 37)

Wait here and watch with me.’(Matt. 26:38)

THE SCOURGING AT THE PILLAR
Our Father
They bound Jesus and delivered him to Pilate./
And Pilate asked him, ‘Art thou the king of the Jews?’ (Mark 15:1, 2)

Jesus answered, ‘My kingdom is not of this world./
But thou sayest it; I am a king.’ (John 18:36,37)

‘This is why I was born, and why I have come into the world,/
to bear witness to the truth.’ (John 18:37)

Then Pilate said, ‘I find no guilt in this man./
I will therefore chastise him and release him.’ (Luke 23:4, 16)

THE CROWNING WITH THORNS
Our Father
Now the soldiers led him away into the courtyard,/
and they stripped him and put on him a purple cloak. (Mark 15:16; Matt.27:28)

And plaiting a crown of thorns they put it upon his head,/
and a reed into his right hand. (Matt. 27:29)

And bending the knee before him they mocked him,/
saying, ‘Hail, King of the Jews!’ (Matt. 27:29)

and took the reed and kept striking him on the head. (Matt. 27:30)

that you may know I find no guilt in him.’ (John 19:4)

THE CARRYING OF THE CROSS
Our Father
‘If anyone wishes to come after me,/
let him deny himself.’ (Luke 9:23)

And bearing the cross for himself,/
he went forth to the place called the Skull. (John 19:17)

THE CRUCIFIXION

THE RESURRECTION

THE ASSUMPTION

THE CORONATION
Our Father
Who is this that comes forth like the dawn,/
